A Thought Train

:: Hey where does this train go... can I take a ride ?

: It goes to mystic places. A little dark a little dreamlike a little deep down and then again a little high. Want to come along ?

:: Yes. Show me.

: Hold my hand then. Sit beside. Now close your eyes to see.

:: Ready.

: Shall we go ?

:: Yes.

: Start at the teens maybe. You see these two adolescents discovering each other ... body and mind. No soul searches yet. See them ?

:: Hm.

: Then in youth. Another station. Awkwardness of adolescence matured into evolved individuals. Each with  possibilities but still choosing each other.

They look lovely walking together... there. Can you see ?

:: Yes I can. I do see them when I close my eyes. Now, then.

: And then years pass by. They are full grown individuals. With unique identities. Seen the world and not unsure of anything anymore...good or bad.

But they come back looking for certain something.

Incomplete. Probably without each other. Possible ?

:: Possible.

: Do you see them walk across seasons...alone. Across time, space, lives, crowds, still alone. Looking for that  something that satisfies the soul. So they can complete the journey.

Do you see them coming together ... from surprisingly different walks of life... see them reaching this station with light luggage. Two different trains halting one after another from different faraway places.

Whether they get down here or return ... who knows. Do you see them at all ?

:: I do. And I am waiting for time to tell. The rest of the story.

: I could keep travelling on that train watching them till end of life.

Sometimes the thing between these souls ... is not love. It is a cosmic resonance. Perhaps a destiny. Made of poignant mind experiences. Intoxicating. Beautiful. Exalting.

There is a final station where one desires  the other like a need. Some day in some future.

This or another life.

  1. I believe that this thing we call life...this isn't about a destination with an end, rather a path down which one continues to journey as long as one can breath. Life is to be lived not squandered or to give away waiting for the end to close upon us

    That said, some beautiful paths can't be discovered without getting lost...soul has been given its own eyes and ears to see and hear things that the mind doesn't comprehend

  2. I believe that this thing we call life ... is a moment, then a pause, then a moment, then a pause.

    Breathtaking and heartrending alternately, with a little quiet in between.

    Travelling helps.
    So does a fellow Traveler.
